Five Unique Ways to Reduce the Cost of Your Vacation

By: Cassandra Ingraham

1. Using your frequent flyer miles or award miles to travel to your far away vacation destination AND staying in a vacation villa where you can prepare most of your own meals.

2.   Take a cruise and drive to the port of departure.  Pay for your cruise and ALL your Meals and your Entertainment is included.  You will be able to visit up to 5 to 7 different ports or more depending on your cruise itinerary.  Be sure to include land tours, drinks and extras like onboard spa treatments, photos and tips in your travel budget.

3.  Drive to an exotic vacation rental property that you can reach within one day from your home and stay for a week.  Carry your groceries with you so that you might prepare most of your meals and go out for dinner if your budget permits.

4.  Rent a beautiful villa on the beach in the Caribbean or the South of France and invite family or friends to share the cost of the villa.  Make it a party (vacation) worth attending. (Be sure you keep the master bedroom for your self)

5.  Purchase a time share in a major market and have the time share management rent it out for the first 5 to 7 years.  Once its paid for, use your award miles from your travel credit card to fly to your free week or two week timeshare.
