DAY 2, Wed Arrive and transfer to your

DAY 3, Thurs
Day at leisure or enjoy a half day optional tour to Hutong.
In the morning, travel by rickshaw through Beijing's Hutong
area to meet and visit with a local family and kindergarten.
Visit the garden of Prince Gongs mansion, or visit the
former residence of Madam Song Qing Ling, former chairman of
China Political Association and the wife of Dr. Sun Yet Sun

DAY 4, Fri
Day at leisure or enjoy a full day optional tour to the
Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and Confucius Temple.
This tour establishes the grandeur of Imperial China. Begin
at Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the
world, its monuments and buildings situated around the
square's perimeter. Then we travel north of the square to
the Forbidden City and Imperial Palace. Lunch in a local
Chinese restaurant before continuing to the Temple of
Heaven, were the Emperor of the Ming and Qing Dynasty prayed
for a good harvest. Continue to the Confucius Temple which
houses the huge stone tablets, which were inscribed names of
winners in the imperial examination in Yuan, Ming and Qing
Dynasty ($43) (B): BEIJING
DAY 5, Sat
Day at leisure or consider an optional full day tour of the
Lama Temple, the Beijing Zoo and the Summer Palace,
including lunch. Begin the day at the Lama Temple, Yong He
Palace, constructed in 1694 for the royal family members. It
was rededicated as a Buddhist Temple in 1723 and given over
to Lamaist practitioners in 1744. Next, a stop at the zoo
for a chance to see China's most prized native animal, the
giant panda. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a
visit to the Summer Palace, which served as the summer
residence of the imperial households of the Ming and Qing
Dynasty ($42) (B): BEIJING
DAY 6, Sun
Day at leisure or enjoy a full day optional tour to the
Great Wall, Sacred Way and Ming Tombs. The tour begins at
the Great Wall, the only man-made structure visible from
satellite and one of the most remarkable human
accomplishments. Walk along the promenades to the towers to
view the magnificent scenery. Enjoy lunch in a local
restaurant followed by a visit to the Ming Tombs, burial
site of the Ming Dynasty's royalty ($47) (B): BEIJING
DAY 7, Mon
Transfer independently to the airport for your departure
flight or choose an optional transfer ($59, 1-2 passengers)
